ADMISSION PROCEDUREDefinitionsAge RequirementFifteen per cent seats shall be allowed to be filled onsupernumerary basis over and above the approvedintake from amongst Foreign Nationals/Persons ofIndian Origin/ Foreign students in programmes of theUniversity and some selected affiliated institutions.(I) Persons of Indian Origin (PIO): Persons whoare citizens of other countries (except Pakistanand Bangladesh) who at any time held an IndianPassport, or who or either of his parents or any ofhis grand parents were a citizen of India by virtueof the provisions of the Constitution of India orSec 2(b) of Citizenship Act, 1955 (Act No. 57 of1955).(ii) Foreign Nationals: Citizens of all countriesother than India, who are not of Indian Origin asdefined under PIO(iii) Foreign Student: Foreign student in this contextshall be defined as the student who possesses aforeign passport.Maximum age as on 1st Augusti) For all Undergraduate Programmes whereentry qualification is 12th class – 21 Yearsii) For all other Post Graduate Programmes whereentry qualification is graduation – 35 YearsThe Office of International Affairs of University is aNodal point for admission to the InternationalStudents.
